The Mongolian People's Party seeks to build a prosperous society that upholds Mongolia's independence and core national interests, strengthens a humane and democratic civic society, and embodies the achievements of past generations, the dedication of the present, and the dreams of generations to come.
Ideology
The Mongolian People's Party is a political organization grounded in the SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC ideology, holding paramount the values of FREEDOM, JUSTICE, SOLIDARITY, and the core national interest.
The Mongolian People's Party is a builder of democratic governance, an advocate for the equitable, accessible, and fair distribution of resources and wealth, and a champion of progressive ideas for an economy and society in which the state plays an appropriate role for the public good — serving as the GUARANTOR of Mongolia's INDEPENDENCE and NATIONAL SECURITY and a driving force of development and progress.
Building on Mongolia's foreign policy framework, the Mongolian People's Party is a torchbearer of the social-democratic vision for global peace and the sustainable development of nations — a mature, cohesive, and progressive party.
Core Values
The core values of the Mongolian People's Party are freedom, justice, and solidarity.
Freedom
Freedom means that every person is afforded the opportunity to enjoy their freedom and to make their own choices, that human rights and freedoms are protected from arbitrary infringement, and that rights, duties, and responsibilities are held in unity.
Justice
Justice means giving every person an equal opportunity for a good life and distributing society's resources fairly.
Solidarity
Solidarity means that every person bears mutual responsibility, supports one another, and works together for the well-being of society.
Human Rights and Social-Democratic Values
We will steadfastly protect human rights and freedoms, prevent their violation, and support the oversight and participation of citizens who are aware of their duties and responsibilities. We will create and protect by law the political, social, and economic conditions for the full and substantive realization of fundamental human rights. We will implement progressive tax policies aimed at establishing social justice and reducing the extreme gap between rich and poor. To build a society that is united, free, and just, we will implement appropriate, effective, and impactful social protection policies. Without creating power imbalances, we will work together with the state, the private sector, trade unions, and other civil society organizations to implement policies that ensure a balanced safeguarding of all social interests.
A Society United in Solidarity
In distributing society's resources and wealth for the common good, we will ensure proper state regulation and active citizen participation, prioritizing the delivery of accessible and quality healthcare, education, and social welfare services to every citizen. We will strengthen a public health system that promotes healthy lifestyles and emphasizes prevention. We will support an inclusive, equitable, high-quality, lifelong, and universal education system. We will support decent employment that creates more jobs, balances the rights of employees and employers in labor relations, and provides livable wages. We will implement integrated urban–rural development policies and reduce disparities in quality of life.
Just Governance
We will refine the separation of powers based on the principle of checks and balances, strictly uphold the rule of law, and strengthen parliamentary democratic governance that protects human rights and freedoms above all. We will cultivate open, accountable, and corruption-free governance. We will ensure appropriate state involvement in social and economic policies and activities serving the public good. We will fully establish a policy, legal environment, and culture that ensures gender equality. We will close the digital divide and carry out an inclusive digital transformation accessible to all.
Sustainable Development and a Quality-Driven Economy
We will implement a multi-pillar economic development policy that is innovation-driven, highly productive, competitive, and export-oriented. We will increase the capacity of national industries based on scientific and technological advances, innovation, and productivity. By always prioritizing the public good and pursuing socio-economic policies that reduce inequality, we will expand a prosperous middle class. We will develop a comprehensive policy to reduce poverty and, by improving income accessibility, open opportunities for every person to participate equally in social life. Guided by the principle of intergenerational justice, we will implement policies that preserve resources and wealth for future generations and ensure that foreign debt does not impose burden or harm on coming generations.
Earth-Friendly Development Policy
We will fully support a comprehensive green development policy that contributes to mitigating global climate change. We will preserve, protect, and pass on our national culture, language, customs, traditions, and the finest heritage of nomadic civilization. We will adopt advances in science and innovation and strengthen national capacity to adapt to a changing world. We will elevate the value of creative thinking and creative work and place intellectual development at the forefront. We will strive to bequeath the natural environment — the foundation of human existence — to future generations in its pristine state. We will develop agriculture and responsible industries that maintain ecosystem balance.
Holding paramount the independence of Mongolia and our core national interests, uniting around the Party's program, values, and ideology, and deeply conscious of our historical responsibility before our motherland's past, present, and future, we hereby pledge to firmly uphold freedom, justice, and solidarity.
